Steve Martin did a dazzling performance role as George Banks, the father of Annie Banks. He portraits the character so convincingly that the audience  begin to believed that this is his real family, and rides the emotional rollercoaster with him while he goes through all the difficult emotions of having to see his daughter move on to her new life. Martin played one of the memorable characters of his life. Not only he is appealing as the father of the bride, but Steve Martin, with able support from Diane Keaton and Kimberly Williams Paisley., made watching this movie a wonderful experience.

The movie Father of the Bride was a runaway success and was followed by it’s sequel Father of the Bride 2, again starring Steve Martin as the central character. He did a memorable job in that movie too. I am almost certain you have already watched both the movies but even then I suggest that you re-watch them and this time watch them from the view point of a father of the bride.
